Project summary:
Goal of this project is to develop a generic component based application infrastructure which can on-demand allocate (expand and reduce) IT resources within a Cloud environment. The main idea focuses on the automatically usage of modern Cloud technology for various web applications. This creates the possibility on basis of an enterprise bus architecture to develop flexible software systems which are able to be operated in any system environments (local, in the Cloud, hybrid) and dependent on emerging load peaks dynamically receive / obtain necessary resources.

Tasks and responsibilities by the IKM chair:

• State of the art of research activities regarding Cloud, current trends and developments within Cloud Computing
• Business case modeling, cost benefit analysis, financial and non-financial impacts
• Conducting a market research and evaluating Cloud provider, examine technical requirements,
• Develop business models and design business processes necessary for this project
• Design a provider classification framework which supports / enables the selection process of Cloud provider
